What you’ll be doing...

Continuous improvement is what we are all about and you will play a significant role in developing strategies that will make us better. For us to succeed in our highly competitive industry, it’s important that we turn our bills into revenue. As a subject matter expert, you’ll be improving our collection processes and systems in order to enhance the customer experience, reduce our debt, and protect our assets.

  • Developing and implementing initiatives focused on enhancing our collection processes, reducing bad debt and churn, while also improving the customer experience.
  • Providing strategic recommendations on complex processes or issues that contribute to improving operational metrics.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to develop requirements for new processes and initiatives in support of organizational self-service strategies.
  • Participating in user acceptance testing activities associated with new or modified systems.
  • Fielding issue escalations from internal customers or delivery partners and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Ensure ninety or more receivable targets are being met.
  • Prioritize receivable base to ensure most impactful items have focus.
  • Identify, drive, and manage risk assessment for base of accounts.
  • Lead conference calls with customers and internal contacts to obtain receivable resolution commitments and strategies.
  • Accurately forecast monthly accounts receivable performance.
  • Provide management with executive ready reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure reporting goes out timely and deadlines are managed.
  • Manage and complete special projects.
  • Communicate receivables results and individual customer action plans to your Senior Manager and executive levels.
  • Communicate and assist Senior Manager with input, context, prioritization and execution of activities in support of the organizations goals.
  • Ensure Verizon CPNI standards and quality call monitoring targets are met.
  • Review and approve customer transactions including refunds, credits, journal voucher postings, etc.
  • Manage unassigned accounts in Senior Manager Base.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Experience working in a collection support call center.
  • Created complex queries and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with financial, accounting and collection support systems.
  • Experience of electronic customer self-serve support applications. Strong analytical andproblem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to focus on the details.
  • Experience with managing commitments, deadlines and escalations.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
  • Successful track record of receivables management and improvement.
  • Detailed knowledge of Credit and Collections.
  • Telecommunications receivables experience.
  • Ability to use experience to directly influence others outside of department or function.
  • Ability to independently analyze complex issues and make sound decisions.
  • Certifications in finance-related field.
