Consultant, Experiential & Business Hospitality

The Consultant, Hospitality & Business Events will play a key role on a high performing team focused on bringing the Verizon brand, partnerships and products to life across a wide range of events. The role and organization are charged with the driving powerful customer experiences through ideation, design, and execution of best in class engagements that reflect the brand promise of changing the way people live, work and play.

This position reports into the Manager, Experiential & Business Hospitality and is responsible for creating world class experiences for our business customers that articulate our brand and integrate our products and solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deliver unique experiences for Verizon’s business customers through Verizon’s sponsorship, hospitality and experiential assets.
  • Drive customer knowledge of company products and services by utilizing and showcasing key business technologies.
  • Implement ideas and solutions to enhance the customers overall hospitality experience.
  • Partner with the business group on an ROI model to ensure best utilization of company assets.
  • Manage complex day-to-day program operations for customer hospitality events.
  • Manage event deliverables and timelines within the business group; nomination lists, customer profiles and sales leader communications.
  • Manage events end-to-end, from planning phase through fulfillment and execution.
  • Develop opportunities where Verizon can integrate the latest business campaigns within pre, onsite and post event communication and execution.
  • Responsible for all customer communications for day events.
  • Evaluate new hospitality trends and propose how to integrate them into customer events to enhance customer experience.
  • Manage design of event related invitations, onsite materials and customer gifts.
  • Manage creative process in relation to onsite décor.
  • Assist with tracking of event/program budget.
  • Day-to-day lead for select agencies and vendor(s).
  • Manage meeting space and hospitality events at key industry events.
  • Capture and track attendee attendance and work with the OEBC and business group on attendee approvals.
  • Provide recommendations to the Business group on available sponsorship assets that align with the needs for the sales teams.
  • Maintain oversight, reporting and governance of Hospitality Guidelines & Compliance surrounding the ticket management system for the Business group.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Three or more years of experience working in event management, sports/entertainment hospitality.
  • Self-motivated individual with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick thinking, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, and multi-task.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Customer-focused real-time problem solver.
