What you’ll be doing...

The Director of Field Marketing is accountable for driving new Fios Internet & TV consumer growth by leading the development and activation of local marketing programs across a variety of marketing disciplines.

This position is specifically accountable for identifying high-impact methods for promoting the Fios value proposition locally and delivering on key business targets across three functions:

  • Strategy & Planning: responsible for market prioritization of market clusters and customer segments, identifying local strategies to engage these segments and developing marketing plans that will provide guidance across the local organization.

  • Marketing Program Development: accountable for developing marketing assets for the regional team to execute including local media programs, marketing communications, digital engagement assets, local incentive programs and event marketing experiences.

  • Field Activation: responsible for proactively monitoring competitive activity and executing plans designed for their area by working with local sales and operations organizations.

The director will lead the team on the following tactics:

  • Ability to pin point business targets, and deliver designated business goals

  • Use data analytic and consumer insights to inform unique local offers

  • Apply prospect and customer targeting acumen across Fios markets within the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions

  • Methods to engage consumers who live in traditional Single Family units vs. Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs)

  • Competitive monitoring and assessment to track competitor patterns and develop competitive response programs

  • Performance management of activation teams to ensure business case and program lifecycle deliver maximum ROI

  • Ability to work with multiple internal teams and leaders to ensure support for implement plans

  • Ensure tight governance of brand guidelines; provide education and support as needed

  • Support tactics of national amplification programs

  • Manage activities of street teams for optimal use

  • Partner with VZ Foundation for local integration and community engagement

  • Activate new additions to the portfolio

What we’re looking for...

  • Proven track record for success as leader of multiple direct reports, 5-10 years management experience required

  • 8+ years of applicable marketing experience

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to engage all levels of the organization with particular focus on executive level leaders

  • Strategic capability to balance competitive dynamics against Verizon Fios local value proposition key differences to drive strong customer desire

  • Ability to calibrate marketing initiatives to deliver monthly, quarterly and annual targets

  • Collaborative work style and ability to forge strong relationships inside and outside of Verizon

  • Highly effective project management skills to manage programs on time and on budget

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred

  • External agency work experience preferred
