What you’ll be doing...

As the Senior Manager - Business Operations you support the Invoice Validation and Quality (IVQ) team in driving accurate and timely vendor payments via contract compliance. Responsible for managing a team which validates invoices for vendors within organizations such as Global Sales Operations and Digital & Strategic Sales. Requires partnership with various teams to ensure sales and services provided by the vendor are compensated per the specifics outlined in the executed contracts. Ensure IVQ requirements are cared for within contracts and then directs the implementation of end to end processes within team, to care for changing needs of the business and to ultimately ensure audit requirements are met.

  • Partner and interface with Channel/Vendor Management, IT, Legal, Contract Administration, Sourcing and Finance/Cost Assurance teams to review contract language, develop processes, create requirements, resolve issues and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Work with the teams to help onboard vendors and implement processes to support strategic initiatives.
  • Leverages creativity, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to develop, recommend and implement solutions to Vendor Manager Proposals during contract review calls with cross functional team members; while focusing on how to validate for payment, ensuring compliance and considering efficiencies/ workload balance.
  • Knowledge of organizations and channels that support Vendors such as GSO Technology Support and DSS –Digital & Strategic Sales activity and/or Verizon products and services.
  • High level of accountability for all IVQ functions as well as both Verizon and organizational required processes; represents team and leaders on various calls, projects and initiatives.
  • Responsibility for communicating and implementing IVQ and organization’s goals directing the day-to-day activities of the entire team.
  • Driving for high-performance results within a fast-paced, and ever changing environment within the GSO Tech Support and DSS - Digital & Strategic Sales channels specific to IVQ, contracts and end to end processes.
  • Leverages exceptional leadership skills to not only build the team but also develop and coach your team for success.
  • Leads and contributes to a variety of initiatives and programs designed to support the organization.
  • Deliver training and support at a functional level.
  • Interface with multiple vendors on a daily basis.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years or relevant experience.
  • Experience managing, coaching and developing teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including, Excel and PowerPoint.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel (i.e. Data Files, Create Reports, Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Formulas, Marcos, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Suite.
  • Ability to meet deliverables within the established timeframes while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial results and provide meaningful analysis.
  • Knowledge of GSO Tech Support and DSS – Digital and Strategic Sales activity and/or Verizon products and services, processes and contract.
  • Knowledge of contract administration to ensure proper payment within contract terms and ongoing audit compliance
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work and think independently and with a team as needed while applying appropriate principles, theories and concepts.
  • Problem solver with ability to work effectively in a hyper-changing environment.
  • Ability to work and present to all levels of management as needed.
  • Goal and solutions-oriented
  • Motivated to learn and be resourceful; constantly look for process improvements.
