What you’ll be doing...

As a Senior Member Technical Staff (SMTS) you will be responsible for the delivery and day to day operation of Revenue Assurance (RA) applications for Verizon Wireless. You will be working with an energetic and talented group of professionals who are passionate about delivering best in class software to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Deliver code for all monthly and non- periodic releases for RA applications related to device payment loans, equipment returns, and POS order reconciliation with billing.
  • Regularly attend story grooming sessions with RA partners to ensure timely delivery of sprints.
  • Monitor Production jobs and processes on daily basis and take corrective action within 24 hours of detection.
  • Setup alarms for any new data feeds and recons introduced in REVO.
  • Develop and maintain a resource capacity plan by working closely with the Senior Manager.
  • Provide weekly team highlights to Senior Manager by Monday of following week.
  • Participate in REVO on-call support in rotation with other team members.
  • Ensure SOX compliance for REVO controls by performing SOX activities as per role assigned by Senior Manager of REVO team.
  • Monitor all RA KPIs on a monthly basis and take corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Leverage RPAs/BOTs to diagnose problems in real time and apply self-healing to prevent billing/customer impact.
  • Security should be ingrained in every step of software development process. All security scans need to be kept current and any vulnerability have to be remediated within 30 days.
  • Drive design and code changes to migrate processes to AWS cloud environment without impacting production performance.

What we’re looking for...

This individual should have in-depth knowledge of wireless ordering, billing and network provisioning systems to be able to define control points.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years’ experience in a lead developer role.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE or C++ or Python.
  • Experience with Unix/Shell Scripting and RDBMS such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
  • Experience leading a technical team.
  • Experience in big data management using Hadoop or similar tools.
  • DevOps orchestration with tools such as GIT, JIRA, or Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of Blockchain technologies such as Hyperledger.
  • Experience in Agile development methodology.
  • Experience in AI/ML or RPA tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML5 & Angular JS
  • AWS Certification.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
  • Knowledge of security tools such as Fortify, Blackduck etc.
  • Experience migrating web applications to Cloud (AWS, Oracle Cloud or Cloud Foundry).
  • Designing scalable applications in the cloud using Mircoservices architecture.
