What you’ll be doing...

The Global Technology Solutions (GTS) Strategic Engagement team is looking for a proactive knowledgeable Senior Communications Specialist who has significant experience leading, developing and driving programs. This role is responsible for the creation and development of engagement programs that improve the Global Technology Solutions (formerly IT) employee experience and effectiveness; extending GTS brand awareness externally through social media; writing, management, and delivery of internal messaging; organization and coordination of executive communications; marketing of GTS thought leadership and accomplishments through external award nominations and media opportunities. This role requires direct partnership and interactions with senior IT leadership, stakeholders, and other organizations, including HR, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Branding, and Legal. Responsible for creating strategies and execution of plans to increase employee engagement, promote productivity, and create a sense of community within GTS. You will be successful in this role if you are able to consistently keep abreast of the GTS communications objectives and are able to synthesize the themes into the deliverables that you are driving independently, while staying aligned / partnering with your teammates on the GTS engagement team.

  • Key creative contributor to the GTS Strategic Engagement team by leading critical components of the engagement strategy as well as supporting various deliverables across the organization. You should always have a finger on the pulse on how to create clear and compelling copy that resonates with audiences to convey the intended message.
  • Work closely with internal teams across the business to understand the needs and challenges of each audience to represent our brand in a way that engages, surprises, informs and delights. Gather input from different sources and bring it to life by telling the story through effective copy writing and through our brand voice.
  • Own proof reading and copy editing of all content generated by yourself and various stakeholders prior to publication to ensure accuracy and adherence to our brand style guidelines.
  • Participate in cross-functional collaborative meetings to assist GS partners with messaging for various deliverables and will often be expected to drive those conversations.
  • Participate in developing events including the GTS leadership meetings and organization-wide webcast and in-person events as the need arises.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in communications, journalism, marketing communications, creative services, or relevant field.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in marketing orcommunications.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated use of effective communications principles and strategies.
  • Experience as a program manager who has started a program from concept to execution using a cross-functional team of resources.
  • Experience interfacing with senior executives for two-way feedback on program objectives and results.
  • Ability to consult and provide feedback on messaging for range of audiences. Skilled with Powerpoint, GSuite, eCRM.
  • Knowledge of multi-media communications, such as video, graphics, social media and related software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
