What you’ll be doing...

As our Product Manager you will be responsible for delivering 5G products for business customers. You will be part of a cross functional team responsible for defining the strategy, requirements and commercial model of 5G products. You will be driving product requirements and user stories for wireless networking products such as private networks, public static IP, mobile SD-WAN and associated QoS requirements for 5G, establishing routes to markets/channels, and lead overall product management efforts. You will articulate requirements for Enterprise, Government and SMB customers, drive those requirements through agile product development processes, support commercial releases in collaboration with the business unit, and provide post-launch support. The position may also include third party contract negotiation and vendor management.

  • Evolve and implement 5G strategy for B2B. Work in collaboration with LOB/Sales on identifying other 5G opportunities and vertical markets.
  • Develop, manage and market B2B products and services though the agile product development process.
  • Engage with customers, sales, business unit marketing, and other stakeholders to define the requirements and roadmap.
  • Drive new development initiatives from inception through launch including managing the product development launch LBA process using agile methodologies.
  • Own the business execution plan for assigned products and solutions, collaborating with business unit marketing and other teams for delivery of associated revenue and profitability goals.
  • Identify ongoing opportunities for operational efficiencies to ensure customer satisfaction, continued revenue growth and increased market share.
  • Communicate product vision and strategies to varied audiences, including executives and cross functional teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in 5G vendor ecosystem and use that in key product definitions where applicable.
  • Drive Product requirements and user stories RF prioritization (QCI and QoS), Mobile SD-WAN, virtual functions, cloud based architecture and IP security.
  • Lead the product management team on product Plan, product requirements, customer POCs, customer trials ,and use cases for 5G working with cross-functional teams across Network planning, IT, client partners, marketing and other teams for wireless business products.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business or an equivalent field.
  • Five or more years of product management experience.
  • Five or more years of telecommunications experience include LTE/4G LTE proficiency.
  • A track record working with Enterprise, Government and SMB customers that utilize private and public wireless services.
  • Broad knowledge, curiosity, and a considered point of view on how customers can benefit from 4G/5G technology including network evolution in the Enterprise and SMB spaces.
  • Direct experience with enterprise customers around wireless, mobility, and networking products.
  • Basic understanding of 5G evolution and 5G NR technology as specified in 3GPP, GSMA standards.
  • Knowledgeable on how the Verizon Wireless network is architected as well as how to design and integrate solutions into the network.
  • Experience working with enterprise business customers.
  • A full understanding of the impacts of any new feature on the existing operation and performance of the network.
  • Ability to articulate customer needs internally so they can be translated into a finished product.
  • Excellent communication and advanced presentation skills including demonstrated experience with executive level customer presentations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement interdepartmental processes and procedures designed to support common network, product and sales goals.
  • Strong design skills and problem solving capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion.
  • The ability to work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.
