What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all our future connectivity business endeavors including new products such as One Fiber, 5G, and future smart cities. At the forefront of this effort is the Network Operations team and their support staff. As a member of this team and a leader of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business.

Strong candidates will have well-developed communication, organization, and leadership skills. You will have active involvement in problem-solving processes and 7x24 availability. You will perform productivity assessments, and proactively evaluate, analyze, and recommend solutions to provide a differentiated service experience to our customers. You will also provide transformation leadership in support of organizational strategies and good practices to create efficiencies within the business that scale to support growth. Understanding business drivers, technological direction and market conditions necessary for developing and implementing cost effective and highly reliable fiber optic transport networks.

What we’re looking for...

When there is a problem, people look to you for solutions. You’re an independent thinker with a knack for digging into the details to determine root causes. Communicating complex details in a way that people can understand comes naturally to you. You enjoy collaborating with people at all levels in the organization and are very good at making sure all stakeholders are in the loop. You enjoy leading and developing a team to make a big impact in a large, fast paced environment.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to be on-call after hours and on weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Project/Program Management experience.
  • Knowledge of Contract Compliance.
  • Experience in Financial & Regulatory responsibilities.
  • Experience working with multifunctional teams.
  • Third Party Vendor Management experience.
  • Managed complex processes.
