What you’ll be doing...

The Product Manager for Business Messaging is a primary contributor in defining and delivering new SMS and RCS messaging capabilities to Verizon Business customers of all sizes. The planned service will allow any mobile subscriber to send and receive SMS messages to any Verizon Voice Services across all Toll Free and 10 Digit Numbering Plans. The resulting product capabilities will be offered as an add-on capability to all Verizon CX and UC products, , including OneTalk, BDV/VCE, BOS, etc, and sold through all Verizon Business Units - Enterprise, SMB, and Public Sector.

This messaging product is a critical element of the new CCaaS for SMB service, which is an omni-channel contact center product that will enable mobile agents for the small and medium customer segments. Thus this is a time critical project enabling service differentiation in the CCaaS industry, with a digital experience consumed by an exceedingly mobile customer/agent user base.

This product manager will lead the effort to develop the business messaging capabilities. It is intended that the service will be leveraging Verizon Wireless messaging platforms and leadership, using elements of our VZW Consumer Product Messaging Platform and capabilities starting with SMS, followed shortly by adding RCS.

This role will also be tasked with exploring revenue opportunities for open APIs and CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) as appropriate.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Product management experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in wireless solutions, VoIP solutions, or Unified Communications solutions for small and large businesses.
  • Experience in SMS, Business Messaging, and open APIs.
  • Experience with product management, product marketing, and/or engineering.
  • Experience with business case generation and financial analysis.
  • Team player with ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven, multi-location / multi-cultural matrix work environment.
  • Problem solver with the ability to effectively communicate solutions.
