What you’ll be doing...

As a part of the Information Technology team, you’ll design and develop improvements to our customer care applications, like our Wireless Customer Communications platform. You’ll also work across the business to vet and deliver small to medium sized technology projects. The improvements that you recommend and implement will have a major impact on customer satisfaction, which will help improve our business and grow our customer base.

  • Collaborating with IT and business teams on projects.
  • Troubleshooting issues within customer care applications.
  • Supporting code and configuration updates.
  • Evaluating proposals to make sure they’re technically sound.
  • Supporting the implementation of upgrades and new applications.

• Responsible for development of new software or extension of software application and participation in Design and Requirements activities

• Must be able to evaluate tools and technologies to setup the development environment

• Perform code analysis, static code tools usage and any additional tools that produces good quality code.

• Implement non-functional requirements - Performance, scalability, reliability, extensibility etc.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver with accountability

• Able to provide correct estimation on LOE for work balancing

• Maintain the required documentation

• Coordinate with on shore team and participate in Design activities and Business requirements discussions Technical Product Knowledge

• Understand a given solution to assess its alignment with business needs. Evaluate alternate and make informed decision Technical Communication

• Communicate the business value of technical solutions and work on POC of new solutions aligned to recent technology

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle phases, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Basic understanding of computing software, hardware and networking infrastructure.

• 3+ Years of hands on experience in development of new software/ or refactoring existing software application

• Strong knowledge in Java,J2EE design patterns, Springboot, Microservices, HTML, CSS, JavScript, jQuery, React JS, Servlets, XML, Multi-threading, JMS, Hibernate and Oracle PL/SQL

• Familiar with GitHub, Stash, Jira, Jenkins, Sonar, Fortify, Ansible and DevOps Process implementation

• Knowledge in Agile/Scrum life cycle
