The Verizon CX Team is a new internal group tasked with evolving the Verizon customer experience across all channels and touch points through the design and implementation of innovative products and services that customers love.

Working from Verizon India Design studio space, The team is assembling the brightest designers, UI Engineers, design strategists, researchers, and product managers to collaborate within teams shaping the future of the customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • You are a UI Engineering Manager who guide teams to deliver best-in-class front end UI solutions grounded in user, product, tech, and business requirements through collaboration with partners. Focused on growth of individuals on their teams and designing with partners. Developers look to you for direction, your peers and other stakeholders look to you for a fresh perspective. You understand how projects contribute to the success of the business. You are responsible for the career growth and performance management for your direct reports.
  • You spend your time focused on running your projects. You guide your team to make the right decisions for the customer. You cultivate relationships with product, designers, tech, and business partners, and monitor the health of your projects. You mentor and support the team and are sensitive to their goals and challenges, knowing when to jump in and when to step away.
  • You are responsible for project success, the quality of our solutions, and the growth and morale of your team.
  • Setting the UI Engineering technical direction for all the UX related projects
  • Knowledge on front-end technologies such as: React Js, Redux, Angular, Node.js JavaScript, Ajax, HTML5, CSS.
  • Experience in building UI framework development with React JS - Reusable Coded component library, technical documentation for developers to help on how to use the assets in the component library, Socialising with all the stakeholders for effective use of the library components and Governance.
  • Knowledge on back-end technologies such as: Core Java, J2EE, SQL
  • Knowledge of Mobile Platforms such Android, iOS with good sense of UX design is a big plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UX Design and SDLC Process.
  • Provide effort/capacity estimation, scope, and structure projects of varying degrees of complexity.
  • Oversee the entire delivery and execution process, ensuring and facilitating effective team communication and collaboration.
  • Will be responsible for building & maintaining the front-end layer for workforce and consumer facing projects.
  • Collaborate across functional teams to smooth and efficient delivery while adhering to the specified quality standards.
  • Ability to guide the development teams on adherence to the design specifications (UX, UI, and HTML) .
  • Oversee and contribute towards the design, architecture, documentation, development, debugging, and deployment efforts for all the design projects.
  • Will also be responsible for mentoring and retaining members of our team.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • MCA degree or relevant.
  • Eight or more years of experience in telecom domain that spans directly related to website/web application front end development.
  • A creative, detail-oriented technologist with strong experiencein current best practices and methodologies related to UI Engineering.
  • Knowledge with Customer facing and Call Center application, Data Visualisation and Analytics Portal and Customer experience web applications.
  • Effective leadership skills, proven experience in handling multiple projects concurrently, meeting aggressive deadlines, effectively managing priorities and relationships with various stakeholders independently.
  • Excellent understanding of the importance of teamwork and should have experience in creating a conducive team atmosphere with a focus on learning and collaboration.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members to educate and build the capacity to operate in an agile manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to translate business needs into technical terms, strong conflict resolution, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to set team’s vision based on the business goals and drives a team forward towards new ideas and team growth.
  • A strong visual eye and knowledge of design concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and drive for perfection.
  • Operating Systems: PC and Mac experience.
