What you’ll be doing...

As an industry leader, Verizon is at the center of the ecosystem architecture for 5G, Intelligent Edge, and Multi-Access Edge Compute (MEC) enabling applications such as IoT, augmented reality, virtual reality, connected vehicles, aerial drone solutions, and more. The Verizon Innovation Center serves as the nexus into the innovation happening across all of Verizon and its vast ecosystem of partners. Our team is looking for an Innovation Center Briefing Manager passionate about ensuring our customers have a world class experience when they visit the Verizon Innovation Center in downtown San Francisco, CA.

In this role you will:

  • Provide overall strategic planning management and delivery for engagements hosted at the Innovation Center. Engagements include technology briefings with high profile customers and special events with government, business organizations, academic institutions, non-profits, and others in the innovation community.
  • Interface directly with Verizon sales, marketing and technology teams on all planning aspects of the engagement.
  • Drive clear understanding and alignment with participating teams on the objectives/goals of each engagement.
  • Lead planning calls to jointly identify agenda topics and provide guidance to teams.
  • Be a key customer facing figure serving as ‘day of event’ host for the engagement - monitoring progress, making necessary adjustments and soliciting feedback.
  • Keep abreast of current state of the art and future technology trends, including 5G and others within the evolving mobile ecosystem/value chain.
  • Identify areas of improvement in process and customer experience.
  • Stay abreast of best practices with other Experience and Innovation Centers through regular networking and attendance at events such as Association of Briefing Program Managers events.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or three or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience working in a similar high tech environment.
  • Experience in a customer facing environment with refined, engaging relationship skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for technology and natural curiosity to continuously learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage responsibilities independently and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Confidence to deal with high profile visitors and internal executives.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and G-Suite skills.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and planning tools.
  • Proven capability to work in a fast moving, team oriented, and collaborative environment with a willingness to take on ad hoc responsibilities based on the needs of the business on any given day.
