What you’ll be doing...

The Business Process Analyst (BPA) will support the Verizon Global Procurement Automation team to ensure accurate capture, documentation, and validation of the global procurement business processes. Candidate will work closely will work closely with a broad team to help Global Procurement drive innovation. The candidate will develop and present complex and custom automation solutions across the organization, craft requirements with the help and engagement from technical teams, architects, operations, and all required third party vendors and partners necessary to provide an end-to-end automation solution. The BPA will be instrumental in helping the global procurement organization adapt to change, create positive outcomes, and position itself for the future.

  • Partner with procurement operations teams to identify and assess automation opportunities.
  • Interview individual staff, process owners and stakeholders to capture and identify their key processes.
  • Convert interview information to standardized requirements.
  • Create the “current” process model to graphically depict all stakeholders and interactions.
  • Review, evaluate, and analyze “current” process model for ways to improve the process, make it shorter, faster, leaner.
  • Develop new “Automated” process model and requirements containing proposed modifications and automation changes.
  • Review and validate proposed changes with the owners and stakeholders.
  • Work with development team to create a technical solution.
  • Validate the end-to-end solutions which minimize operational and financial risks.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize services and reduce costs.
  • Validate and determine third party supplier content to close gaps in delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with development and users to complete UAT.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • ITIL V3 Foundations.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and good team development skills.
  • Leadership with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Verizon’s procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical background and be a problem solver.
  • Excellent diagramming and communication skills to gather required information.
  • Logical thinking, organization, and planning skills; able to work in a dynamic environment and meet critical deadlines, exercising flexibility and decision making as appropriate.
  • Strong attention to detail in completing business process design.
  • Good knowledge of business processes and transactional systems to highlight data discrepancies.
  • Good operational knowledge of Global Procurement processes.
  • Process modeling knowledge.
