This position is responsible for Sub-Ledger systems support and reports to the Associate Director – System Engineering within the Corporate Systems Group. Primary responsibilities will be to assist the Associate Director with the operations of the department as a business analyst for the Inventory Accounting systems.

  • Oversee the applications and processes delivering financial data.
  • Support in project planning & system testing, end-user interfaces for system implementations, upgrades, enhancements and production fixes.
  • Work closely with the IT teams on system maintenance and enhancements for sub-ledger data delivery and maintenance.
  • Support activities for internal and external audit requests.
  • Uses financial acumen and accounting experience along with systems knowledge and experience to assess impacts of changes, recommend improvements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Oversee interface mapping and table maintenance.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies related to data and systems issues.
  • Perform assessments of financial systems and processes and develop improvement strategies for reporting, analysis and internal controls.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the external and internal reporting and accounting and financial systems audit processes.
  • Create queries and reports and oversee accuracy of queries created by other team members.
  • Lead team in supporting various user communities with data delivery, reporting, documentations and training.
  • Oversee staff in the maintenance and integrity of finance and accounting data through table maintenance, documentation for system support functions and controls.
  • Create and present project/program statuses and dashboards up to VP level.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Other adhoc analyses as needed.
  • Plans and structures work activities and sets priorities, deadlines, and monitors progress on team’s tasks.
  • Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Participates in the budgetary process by determining acceptable staffing levels, establishing departmental budgets, etc.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with General Ledger applications, including interface management experience and working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Inventory Modules/systems and Purchasing Modules.
  • Experience working on ERP systems.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience withstrong management experience.
  • Experience in ERP systems – SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft.
  • Experience with supporting financial customers.
  • Experience with Database Management, Oracle / Teradata SQL, and Master Data Management.
  • Experience and vision of Digital Technologies (RPA, AI/ML, etc) to drive business transformation and automation.
  • Experience with Financial systems, procedures and verification, and solid knowledge of financial statements and concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications includingExcel and Access skills.
  • Proven management skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills to effectively communicate to project teams and executives.
  • Ability to interact with IT and various functions, as well as will various levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced reporting and analytics.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; willing to work extra time as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with customer-based focus.
  • Experienced in the design and implementation of accounting systems and applications highly desired.
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.
