What you’ll be doing...

The Technical Product manager/architect (TPM) will be playing a key role in as a subject matter expert for a consumer Cloud based product. The candidate would be supporting product managers (commercial and technical) to recommend solutions and technical feasibility for the products. The person will be a expert on cloud technologies – backing up, storage technologies. Mobile technologies a plus

Apart from providing guidance on technical topics, key responsibility of the TPM would be to execute and deliver results - define technical requirements and work with vendor/engineering on product delivery.

In order to succeed, TPM would be required to communicate and evangelize products and features with internal and external audiences for internal buy-in and pilots.

Responsibilities:

  • Advocate consumer interests and Identify new opportunities for increasing product value.
  • Define and validate new product features.
  • Work with other product managers on building a product roadmap.
  • Develop strategic understanding of competition, target markets, customers, and evolving trends.
  • Work with development teams to manage products from concept to delivery.
  • Communicate product benefits to customers, end users, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop an appropriate business case for new initiatives.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels within the company, including commercial, engineering, marketing, sales, and services.
  • Understand technical subjects/emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
  • Three or more years of technical product management experience
  • Six or more years of experience working on mobile technologies/applications
  • Cloud and hardware experience.
  • Strong exposure to user experience design and user research.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies, including Product Owner.
  • Ability to collaborate and interact across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
