What you’ll be doing...

As a Network Operations Support Engineer, you will be a member of a geographically diverse team of Network Operations Engineers and will be responsible for:

  • Working the Network Operations ticket queue and handling inbound calls to the NOC.
  • Working outage bridges as needed.
  • Working with vendors to address hardware and software issues on supported equipment.
  • Documenting troubleshooting and resolutions procedures.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
  • Skill in Cisco Routers and Switches and familiarity with other Network technologies including load balancers, WiFi controllers, Proxies, Firewalls, and VPN concentrators.
  • Willingness to work as part of a 24x7 operations team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, AWS certifications.
  • Three or more years of applicable network experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Three or more years of hands-on experience with a focus on Cisco technology.
  • Three or more years of Wide Area Network Circuits.
  • Three or more years of experience in a hands-on network role with a focus on Cisco technology.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco technology, including 1111, 2800, 3800, 6800, 7000-series.
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus platform.
  • Proficiency with BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VLAN’s, STP, and other networking protocols.
  • Experience with circuit troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting WiFi technologies.
  • Experience supporting VPN technologies.
  • Experience supporting load balancer technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • The ability to solve complex problems creatively.
  • The ability to handle multiple open issues via telephone, messenger applications, and other technologies.
  • The ability to work outage calls as needed.
  • Understanding of telecommunications industry and evolving technologies.
  • The ability to learn new emergent market technologies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
