What you’ll be doing...

5G is a technology that will provide a foundational layer for our business customers to revolutionize the way their businesses run. As emerging technology develops, customers will need new solutions to leverage the full scale of the 5G network. The 5G B2B product manager will focus on emerging technology product use cases for 5G to include, but not limited to, AR/VR, video, next-gen collaboration and productivity tools, etc. You will identify and drive commercial strategy of business products and services that support the value of wireless networks through our business to business distribution channels. Your focus will include taking these use cases from concept to full commercial offerings and drive the adoption of next-generation products and services within the Verizon ecosystem to include the use of existing connectivity today with an evolution to 5G. You will own, set and communicate product strategy, establish routes to markets/channels, and lead the resulting product management efforts. In addition, you will articulate requirements for all segments, drive those requirements through agile product development processes, support commercial releases in collaboration with the business unit, and provide post-launch support. You will also be responsible for defining and communicating the roadmap and commercial model to influence Verizon partner products. The work you’ll do every single day impacts people’s lives, work and play.

  • Drive the value proposition of wireless technology through product development to include indoor vs, outdoor wireless technologies, Private LTE, 4G/LTE, Wifi, 5G Fixed Wireless Access and mobile 5G.
  • Drive new development initiatives from inception through launch including managing the product development launch LBA process using agile methodologies.
  • Engage with customers, sales, business unit marketing, and other stakeholders to define product requirements.
  • Evaluate software and/or hardware solutions that drive the connectivity value proposition.
  • Own the business execution plan for assigned products and solutions, collaborate with business unit marketing and other teams for delivery of associated revenue and profitability goals.
  • Identify ongoing opportunities for operational efficiencies to ensure customer satisfaction, continued revenue growth and increased market share.
  • Communicate product vision and strategies to varied audiences, including executives and cross functional teams.
  • Team with product partners to drive performance through working sessions, joint go-to-market planning, review of business results and activities and plans to drive more value for all parties.
  • Resolve escalated support issues on behalf of customers.
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional relationships with other resources includingProduct Development, Marketing, Sales, Network, IT, Finance, Legal, and Go-to-Market.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Product Management experience.
  • Project management experience to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience in emerging technology products.
  • Experience working with small, medium, and large business customers, including public sector.
  • Market research and analysis, marketing, and product deployment experience.
  • Experience with new and emerging technologies and incorporating those technologies into tangible products.
  • Knowledge of 5G evolution and 5G NR technology as specified in 3GPP, GSMA standards.
  • Knowledge of Wireless industry and related network and device technologies.
  • Ability to execute in a dynamic environment with initiative and drive to achieve results.
  • Ability to create use cases with a focus on delivering a quality customer experience.
  • Strong problem solving capabilities – ability to identify and escalate potential issues as well as implement recommended solutions.
  • Strong written and Verbal communication skills to reach multiple levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach.
