Query and analyze key performance metrics for Verizon and provide resolution to diverse complex problems

  • Work with IT testing team to ensure table updates are loaded and tested at scheduled times.
  • Drive improvements in automation and processing, reducing manual work using SQL queries and matching system data to identify unintended consequences.
  • Analyzes and interprets reports for managers providing recommendations to guide business decisions.
  • Participates in user acceptance testing activities associated with new or modified systems.
  • Fields issue escalations from internal customers or delivery partners and responds to customer inquiries as requested, ensuring issue and error resolution.
  • Report and read out on the gross write-offs, recovery dollars, commission expense, recovery fees, aggregate settlements, and customer escalations of third party vendor partners, including, but not limited to, disputes, payments, adjustments, policies, and processes.
  • Query and analyze gross write-offs, recovery dollars, commission expense, recovery fees, and other pertinent data for key operational metrics on portfolio of charged off receivables.
  • Develop reports for and explain to senior leadership variances in key performance metrics.
  • Graph key operational metrics year-over-year and year-to-date versus plan for immediate illustrative interpretation in operational reviews.
  • Calculate and measure realistic stretch performance goals that balance incentivized third party vendor partners and unit yields against commission expense.
  • Develop business requirements and cost-benefit analyses to improve upon collections and customer service and participate in the necessary subsequent user-acceptance testing.
  • Standardize as like in data and in format all key operational recovery metrics across Verizon.
  • Manage and maintain all third party performance data in one common performance database for weekly, monthly, and annual vendor performance reviews.
  • Forecast recovery dollars, commission expense, and recovery fees based on forecasted gross write-offs.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or relevant disciplines.
  • Four or more years of experience in database management, data grooming, mapping, SQL analysis, system flow, project management and/or process improvement skills.
  • Ability to negotiate issues across multiple teams in environment of constant change.
  • Ability to act quickly and resolve customer-impacting issues.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to investigate and determine root cause of issues.
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata queries, procedures and functions.
  • Advanced in MS Excel, TOAD Data Point, Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, Tableau and VBA.
  • Strong Written and oral communication skills. Strong organization skills.
  • Knowledge of ledgers and billing systems.
  • System familiarity with iFinals, DataShare, PeopleSoft, CACS, Work Flow Manager (WFM), etc.
