What you’ll be doing...

You will be supporting areas of Verizon’s enterprise data center IT infrastructure. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Shipping and receiving of IT hardware.
  • Logging / tracking all material received and shipped out of the facility using current and future tracking tools.
  • Be a member of the team who deals heavily with our offsite tape storage vendor.
  • Lead the onsite tape storage tracking and handling of tape movement in and out of the facility.
  • Work with the team in preparing equipment for daily installations.
  • Work with the team in preparing IT hardware for disposal / repurpose.
  • Organize onsite assets waiting for installation.

What we’re looking for...

We are looking for an individual who has strong organizational skills and a desire to grow in the IT data center support field. This is an entry level position with the ability for upward progression into a data center technician. This person should be able to work alone and as part of a team. You will have to juggle priorities and multitask.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree
  • Two years of IT experience.
  • IT technical school certificate.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
