What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking a seasoned Media leader to join our passionate team, to help build the future of media for Verizon. Equivalent to an agency Group Director or SVP, this Senior Manager will report into the Director of Media, Brand and collaborate with the Consumer and B2B Teams as well as the Corporate Marketing Organization, Business Units and our Internet Sales Operations teams driving demand for and engagement with the Verizon Brand. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting all brand media and managing all initiatives and campaigns across National and Local Media. As a member of this exciting team, this role will be responsible for shaping the media strategy and driving the activation of key brand initiatives.


  • Lead strategy development for large scale brand initiatives including all media and partnership activations
  • Oversee all implementation and execution of brand media campaigns
  • Act as the cross-team leader ensuring integration across all aspects of media to define and execute campaigns (Social, Media, Analytics, Sponsorship, etc)
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Consumer Insights, Marketing Effectiveness and Creative teams to deliver across key projects
  • Lead media agency relationship, provide clear briefing and direction
  • Develop and drive learning agenda across all brand initiatives; Manage cross-team delivery of campaign reporting and optimization
  • Identify and implement innovation and thought leadership within campaigns and across the Media Team
  • Oversee media investment management strategy for brand
  • Concept and implement partnership ideas that deliver on marketing objectives and Brand and drive sales enablement as applicable across the business

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Media Strategy experience, including how to develop a communications strategy using all media touchpoints.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Leading media teams and/or managing agencies that support multiple campaigns / initiatives simultaneously.
  • Driving Improvement in media effectiveness across channels.
  • Deep analytical skills to ensure media is driving business performance: strong ability to anchor thinking in key brand and business performance indicators.
  • Understanding of data sources to ensure the internal and agency teams can connect the right data sources to drive performance decisions (i.e. audience targeting via DMP).
  • Eight or more years of experience in driving successful data driven media strategies that had a direct impact on sales growth.
  • Six or more years of brand marketing/media experience with a focus on strategy, both consumer and B2B.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams for joint, idea led media plans.
  • Experience collaborating and leading, among many different teams and stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Additional Media courses.
  • Knowledge of wireless products & services.
  • Client or Media Agency experience within a direct response capacity.
  • Experience inspiring others in work group to achieve team goals including experience withknowledge transfer.
  • Experience guiding a team of direct reports to achieve performance goals and objectives.
  • Passion for the customer.
  • Strong stakeholder and collaboration skills.
  • Strong Project Management discipline demonstrated by a history of on-time and on-budget launches; deadline oriented.
  • Ability to balance day to day tactical issues with strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - deliver clear presentations at senior levels.
  • Relationship driven - builds credible and trusting relationships with a broad range of colleagues, stakeholders and business partners.
  • High-energy person who can successfully manage multiple high-visibility, complex technical projects.
