What you’ll be doing...

Positive customer experiences drive our business and you will be part of a support team delivering high service levels to internal and external customers by providing advanced online technical support. You will learn our web portals and use your knowledge to resolve issues that come up. Improving the customer experience makes us better.

  • Provide Tier 2 support for Ethernet, MPLS, PIP, Frame and ATM circuits and networks.
  • Perform logical Private IP troubleshooting for Ethernet services.
  • Troubleshoot at the logical layer between Frame or ATM networks or directly connected ports.
  • Work with Product development, Engineering, IT groups on new products being developed such as Fast Ethernet and dynamic bandwidth.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with DXC equipment, Frame Relay and ATM
  • Experience with back office systems such as F&E, MECCA, NETPRO, Resync tool, VDDS, WEBGOA, PVON, & IPSM
  • Experience in Frame & ATM, Option 1 & 2, and ITS associated test systems
  • Experience working with routers, switches and other LAN WAN equipment
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry with a focus on data communications
  • Knowledge of DXC equipment used in the MCI network Cisco routers and switches Lucent switches Nortel switches
  • Willingness to work for 24/7 on-call shifts

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in telecommunications, engineering, or related discipline.
  • VBNS+ network experience
  • Router certification on Juniper or Cisco such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
  • Ability to communicate well with customers and account teams
  • Problem solving ability and excellent customer skills
