What you’ll be doing...

The Manager of Payment Fraud & Automations significantly contributes to the creation of the strategic and tactical roadmap for the full mitigation of payment fraud across all lines of business of Verizon as it relates to payment acceptance. Subsequently assumes role of lead project manager in the implementation of initiatives with focus on business transformation and significant operational improvements as it relates to payment fraud. As a project lead the candidate drives cooperative solutions for all stakeholders while ensuring the project stays on course from a strategic, operational and tactical perspective.

The Manager will demonstrate understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward future state technology with innovative design. A further key responsibility of this position is to identify any improvement opportunities where chargebacks and payment fraud is occurring and to contribute to the design and implementation of new processes or procedures as a result of identifying improvement opportunities. Candidate will work towards preventing fraud and threats to the payment ecosystems. Through the use of data analytics, appropriately identify and disrupt any payment system attacks. Collaborates with Risk Compliance and Fraud Prevention teams as patterns and issues are identified.

The Manager of Payment Fraud & Automations will be responsible for the global enterprise of all ecommerce equipment and accessory orders and digital products program. Primary responsibilities include but are limited to:

  • Conduct and manage analytically driven payment fraud and loss investigations.
  • Evolve and manage payment fraud mitigation platforms such as Cardinal Commerce 3D Secure and Safetech agent web console.
  • Managing payment fraud initiatives; manage a team of ecommerce payment analysts and automation solutions specialists.
  • Maintain case management and financial payment fraud reporting metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for RPA and machine learning to optimize Bill to Cash processes and operations.
  • Hires and coaches team of payment and automation analysts.
  • Professional development of the team.
  • Maintains industry trends in payment fraud and mitigation.
  • Understands card brand rules.
  • Manages project / assignments as necessary.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience managing a team.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related discipline.
  • Five or more years of managerial experience over asset protection/fraud departments.
  • Experience leading a team of analysts and investigators.
  • Analytical investigative skill set.
  • Financial and ecommerce investigative experience.
  • Knowledge of Verizon’s ecommerce order and payment flows and associated applications such as NetAce, card processors (Global Pay & Paymentech), Cardinal Commerce, and Paypal.
