If you enjoy helping people solve problems and creating learning experiences that are unique, transformative, and sometimes outside the box, this job may be perfect for you. You’ll be a member within a dynamic instructional design studio helping usher in the 4th Industrial Revolution. As a member of our learning experience studio, you will not only analyze learning needs, create actionable designs, bring great ideas to light, and evaluate learning outcomes you will also influence the learning culture of Verizon with your excitement and passion for the learner.

You will explore what our people need to learn to be even better. Your programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture. You’ll design learning solutions that are engaging, fun and most importantly build those capabilities needed to enable our people to create the Verizon of the future.

  • Creating innovative learning solutions for sales, products, customer service, and employee development.
  • Resourcing learning initiatives with internal and external training experts.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and continuously improving our solutions.
  • Managing the archive of learning programs and materials.
  • Creating actionable learning experiences, role plays, simulations, and performance support as needed and conducting any necessary "train-the-trainer" sessions for our training partners.
  • Designing and developing all aspects of learning including classroom, web conferencing, mobile, and eLearning modalities.

What we’re looking for...

You gain satisfaction from meeting key learning objectives and seeing the impact of a strong learning program.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge in design and delivery of employee training.
  • Experience in design and development for various delivery styles including instructor-led, self-paced and virtual modalities.
  • Experience in Captivate 8 or 9, Storyline, and/or Camtasia Studio 8.
  • Experience with ADDIE and/or SAM training development model.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s degree.
  • Strong project management skills leading projects to completion on time and on budget.
  • Willingness to innovate and design fearlessly.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training approaches.
  • Managed projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality.
  • Ability to quickly learn technology and technical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and customize activities to ensure participant engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Experience designing for AR/VR and HTML5.
  • Experience with levels of evaluation.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
