What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager - Professional Services, DECCx International leads a team of technical Senior Consultants/Consultants who are responsible for the delivery / upgrade and technical delivery management of Verizon's global UC&C / Cx and Advanced Networks products and services, as well as program and project management delivery support.

The Senior Manager is responsible for all aspects of recruiting, hiring and managing a team, including planning their training, establishing schedules, collaborating on career paths, ensuring performance and adherence to corporate policies/training. The selected candidate must make sure all billable and non-billable team member’s utilization remains within acceptable ranges and the work they are performing is completed on-time and within budgeted hours.

The selected candidate provides cross-functional product support by collaborating with direct reports, peers, organizational leadership, the Verizon UC&C / Cx product teams, Verizon support organizations and technology partners to influence technical direction, contribute to product roadmap, assist in resolving product technical issues and closing technical gaps from presales through delivery.

The Senior Manager – Professional Services, DECCx International owns the overall success of every project being delivered by the team and must be aware of the overall status of every project and own delivery-related escalations and issue resolution within Verizon and our technology partners. You will have a role in support of Sales and Account Teams during the presales cycle and day-2 support organizations after project handoff.

The Senior Manager – PS works with Professional Services peers as well as Product, Sales and external Technology Partners on continual process improvements to accelerate UC&C /Cx and Advanced Networks delivery to meet Verizon contracted commitments. You must also ensure highly effective and mutually-rewarding customer relationships, and effectively communicate project and/or issue status to Verizon key stakeholders as well as customer management and executive levels.

What we’re looking for...

  • Demonstrable 10+ years’ UC&C, UCCaaS andor Contact Center Services design and delivery experience and able to demonstrate subject matter expertise in the delivery methodologies of these technologies
  • Prince or PMP or 5+ years’ experience leading or managing teams
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with a STEM focus (Science, Tech, Engineering or Math) or equivalent work experience that includes 5+ years’ managing complex Unified Communications projects and leading the resources that deliver them.
  • Demonstrated expertise in correlating customers business drivers and needs (financial drivers, impacts, and restrictions) into technical solutions.
  • Understanding of new product development and how to maintain/enhance it.
  • Demonstrated leadership and outstanding collaboration skills. Proven ability to work cross functionally and act as an influencer at all levels.
  • Supervisory and managerial skills and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues and respond to escalations.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Able to work nights/weekends as required when customer project escalations arise.
  • Proven track record in ability to understand technology and staff projects, and meet the demands of our Sales and Account Teams from presales through hand-off to day-2 support.
  • Ability to work with Verizon technology partners in terms of technical direction, support and issue resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
