What you’ll be doing...

This position includes customer facing collections activities but also provides support and technical expertise to a team of analysts who are responsible for the collections and complex customer billing dispute resolution with customers. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of Verizon Connect accounts.
  • Providing collections and technical guidance to the team to ensure collections associated with VZ Connect revenue are handled effectively and within contractual terms.
  • Support and recommend design enhancements to manual processes needed to support gaps in collection automation
  • Seek out and recommend Digital Finance solutions to automate manual work
  • Responding to internal and external escalations from all departments and all levels.
  • Communicating and presenting status updates to senior management.
  • Reviewing and approving customer transactions, including refunds, credits, journal voucher postings, etc.
  • Communicating receivables results and individual customer action plans to the Manager and executive levels.
  • Providing management ready reporting and analysis.
  • Working with other internal organizations such as Sales, Billing, Contract and Legal for customer and contract guidance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Experience working in a collection support call center.
  • Experience in creating complex queries and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with financial, accounting and collection support systems.
  • Experience of electronic customer self-serve support applications.
  • Working knowledge of the G Suite product lineup
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
