What you’ll be doing...

We are shaping the future of how the Verizon Consumer Group (Mobility & Residential) uses media and connections to drive engagement and growth. We are seeking a seasoned Media expert to join our passionate team. You will partner with the business unit and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to drive demand, engagement, and overall consumer connections.

This position will lead media strategy for key Fios and other local efforts, while playing an instrumental role in defining how Verizon brings our brand and offerings to life with consumers. From being a part of defining the strategy for how to best reach and connect across paid-owned-earned media and experiences, to then translating that into the specific paid media strategies and plans, this rockstar will be a smart marketer with a strong paid media expertise. Reporting to the head of Residential Media Strategy, this role will partner with a broad cross-functional set of talented team members to:

  • Partner with business product and promotion leaders to define the strategic role of media for business objectives.
  • Lead strategy development and execution for local and segment targeted media initiatives.
  • Act as the cross-team leader, integrating all aspects of media to define and execute campaigns (Social, Media Analytics, Sponsorship, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Consumer Insights, Marketing Effectiveness and Creative teams to deliver across key projects.
  • Lead media agency relationship, provide clear briefing and direction.
  • Manage cross-team delivery of campaign reporting, insights and optimization.
  • Identify and implement innovation and thought leadership within campaigns and across the Media Team.
  • Support budget management including reconciliation and invoice approval.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in both national and local media.
  • Experience in all paid media channels.
  • Ability to inspire others to achieve team goals.
  • Experience in mobility or residential cable/broadband industry.
  • Experience with demand generation and broader marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledgeof data sources to ensure the internal and agency teams can connect the right data sources to drive performance decisions (i.e., audience targeting via DMP).
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence and steward initiatives and new ideas forward at all levels.
  • Knowledgeof media strategy utilizing all touchpoints (i.e., digital and traditional media) and how they interact with messaging across paid/owned/earned.
  • Knowledge of integrated marketing and how it related to specific media and activation strategies and plans.
  • Experience leading media teams and/or managing agencies that support multiple programs or campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience continuously elevating media effectiveness across all channels, especially digital.
