What you’ll be doing...

The Supply Chain Demand Planner is responsible for the implementation and management of sales channels, and development and maintenance of near term and long range comprehensive device supply/demand plans within the Reverse Supply Chain Monetization Team. This individual works with the monetization program leads to identify and implement sales channel opportunities supporting sales of pre-owned devices and accessories.

The pre-owned equipment resale market is dynamic, and at times highly volatile, where industry news or supply changes can have dramatic impacts on value. This position will need to understand the nuances of this market and be able to identify and execute strategic initiatives that maximize value for Verizon’s Reverse Supply Chain Monetization Program.

  • Assist and support the development of short to medium team strategies aimed at developing new and existing sales channels. As part of this activity, this rolewill be tasked with creating and implementing operational, go-to-market, and inventory plans in support of these channels.
  • Identify, prioritize, structure, and lead multiple projects or major project work streams related to Verizon’s Reverse Supply Chain Monetization Program - Enterprise strategies, priorities, and special initiatives.
  • Leverage data, systems and apply analytical skills to manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess on hand inventory.
  • Leverage strategic vision, highly developed analytical skills, and exceptional project lead capabilities to properly vet new opportunities and manage existing channels for success.
  • Lead and support collaborations with business stakeholders and internal partners, as well as aligning with senior management in order to meet overall inventory and monetization targets.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties, as it relates to the Reverse Supply Chain Monetization programs.
  • Work closely with Reverse Supply Chain Operations, Quality & Repair, and Systems teams supporting platform development and sales channel activity.
  • Collaborate with business line management across customer segment and functional areas.
  • Analyze trends and forecast demand of specific products by channel, ensuring that supply will meet the forecasted demand.
  • Resolve out-of-stock issues and proactively reducing product shortages.
  • Develop and maintain near term and long range comprehensive device supply gap analyses through comparison of actual and forecasted inflow and consolidated demand program schedules.
  • Design and ensure efficient and timely flow of relevant volume, price, source cost and repair cost and yield assumption data into planning models.
  • Cross coordinate between Reverse Supply Chain Operations, Repair, Device Quality, Sales Order Fulfillment, 3PL partner, and Collaborative Planning Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) Team.
  • Provide support for contingency & exit strategies and plans should service be disrupted or an engagement needs to be terminated.
  • Manage cross-functional project plans and represent the Reverse Supply Chain Monetization team in all strategic planning recommendations and approvals.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Support ongoing delivery of weekly and monthly channel performance reviews and reporting.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in Inventory Planning, Forecasting, Inventory Management/Allocation, Inventory Control/Operations, Sourcing, or Procurement.
  • Willingness to travel upto 25%.

  • Strong relationship management including peers, executives, internal/external customers, third party vendors, and various stakeholders.
  • Capability to produce accurate and timely information in a highly dynamic work environment with a strong customer focused mindset.
