What you’ll be doing...

The candidate will be executing the role of lead SME for device modem diagnostics for Device Technology tools development team. The lead SME will need to create technical strategy, define emerging technology requirements related chipsets/modems/OS, align the product vision with key partners, align with network feature role out and develop product roadmap and execute committed deliverables. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for translating product strategy into detailed requirements and work with the Agile Development teams. Constantly look for new opportunities to solve opportunities to develop new projects.

  • Lead the Device Technology Product lifecycle management.
  • Scope of present and future product feature and ensure product specifications and requirements are developed and delivered on a timely basis.
  • Ensure requirements are aligned with 3GPP standards for 4G/5G and other technologies.
  • Ensure new product ideas and features are aligned to meet the business needs.
  • Work with Vendor, OEM and other external partners in align product dependency.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other management team members.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the Device Diagnostics product to competitors' products.
  • Front end all technical communication with product users.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product roadmap and special reports and analyses.
  • Introduce and market new products capabilities with appropriate road shows and marketing material.
  • Ensure operational flow by scheduling, assigning and following up on work items deliverables.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Gain a deep understanding of next generation wireless technology role out to ensure better customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve growth of the product.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
  • Deep chipset, modem technical knowledge, Knowledge of device operating systems (Android/IOS), Technical Product management, People Management, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Marketing Planning, Financial Planning and Strategy.
  • Excellent knowledge on 3GPP/Customer/User/Data Plane solutions on 5G/LTE/3G standards using Cellular Modem protocol stack expertise to meet business, functional, quality, performance, footprint and power requirements.
  • Knowledge of Qualcomm, Intel, Samsung chipsets and other chipset manufacturers & RF modules relating to wireless devices for generating new requirement to meet next generation products.
  • Knowledge of Modem protocol parsing and Log Analysis to help identify device and network software defects, customer experience issues and implementation required remedial enhancements to the products.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile device and application software and hardware development life cycle.
  • Proven work experience in Agile product management role.
  • Ten or more years of device/application development experience handset manufacturers, wireless network operators, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors in device/application development capacity.
  • Five or moreyears in 3G/LTE/5G NR or other Wireless protocol stack.
  • SCRUM/Agile application development lifecycle practices.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Be the interface between business and engineers to executive management for product strategy.
  • Solid technical background with knowledge and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
