What you’ll be doing...

Our Strategy and Solutions Architecture team is seeking a Network/Firewall Infrastructure Developer to help design, implement, and manage a shared environment where the firm’s infrastructure services and the thousands of applications that depend upon them can be hardened, scaled, and made continuously available. This opportunity is an individual contributor role and will provide technical security and will also serve as a subject matter expert on technical engineering, IT security, and associated initiatives. You will have deep experience with the assessment, implementation, management, and documentation of a broad set of secure technologies, processes, guidelines, or baselines for the VDSI environment. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to implement and manage a strong integrated security posture in addition to serving as a technical escalation point. Other responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Supporting incident response for all security-related issue and driving issues to a timely resolution and ensuring that all lessons learned are used to improve the overall security posture.
  • Supporting the Certification and Accreditation activities by developing, implementing, and monitoring the overall System Security Plan.
  • Coordinating and conducting regular system security audits in support of compliance with the overall System Security Plan and maintaining Authority to Operate status.
  • Briefing management on technical vulnerabilities, system non-compliance with Information Security policies, and security incidents in a timely fashion.
  • Creating presentations, training materials, network diagrams, reports, and templates.
  • Designing and implementing the networking and firewall security framework required for the Production Simulation Facility.
  • Ensuring that firm-wide network security controls are enforced within the production simulation facility.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in technical security engineering, including a wide variety of security initiatives.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Understanding of network and network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies, content filtering, application security, SIEM and Log, monitoring/management, vulnerability management, risk and compliance).
  • Experience using large-scale software development in Java or Python.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and knowledge of how to analyze discovery scan data and vulnerability data to determine unusual use configurations, discovery of aged software, and proper identification of high-severity vulnerabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to solve complex problems creatively.
