As a Payments Risk and Fraud Product Manager on the Verizon Digital Payments team, you will be responsible for handling product & platform development related to fraud, reviewing/documenting cases and preparing reports, and investigating potentially fraudulent activity working with internal teams and external partners to resolve cases of fraud and minimize potential losses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defining product requirements & roadmap to manage risk & fraud in the digital payments space (Credit Card, ACH, Internet Banking)
  • Building internal products for the payments risk & fraud teams - Decision Science, Manual Review, Transaction Monitoring and Investigation Teams
  • Leverage Business Intelligence tools for providing support with data analytics, data mining, ad-hoc investigations, reporting, and data quality assessments
  • Review, investigate, and respond to customer & product stakeholder inquiries related to claims of fraud such as identity theft and payments/card fraud
  • Research suspect account activity and do outreach to customers and business partners to validate suspicious activity and prevent losses
  • Prepare reports and enter cases/incidents into the case management system
  • Draft comprehensive SAR narratives in line with FINCEN guidelines
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to monitor and manage fraud incidents
  • Use internal data, publicly available information, along with various internal system resources to make risk-based decisions on the disposition of referrals related to fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or four or more years of experience.
  • Three plus years experience in analyzing fraud trends, fraud detection and prevention is a plus

Ideally you will also have:

  • 3+ years experience developing products and features, with a focus on risk & fraud in digital payments.
  • Understanding of mobile SDK’s and web API’s
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and sorting.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, motivating, and problem-solving skills.
