As Card Payments Program Manager joining the Verizon Digital Payments team, you’ll be managing critical issuer & processor partnerships and helping collaboratively execute key payment initiatives.

In this role, you’ll apply your Payments risk expertise, particularly in Regulatory Compliance and fraud mitigation, to bring innovative fintech concepts to life.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end to end management of the Card Sponsorship program working with Issuer, processor and association network(s), including documentation, monitoring, reporting, etc.
  • Have and maintain an excellent knowledge of prepaid debit card banking/finance/operations issues to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations
  • Due diligence performance and tracking on external Vendors (processors, platform providers) and internal stakeholders
  • Proactively manage all aspects of compliance internally & externally including employee training
  • Recommend changes to the Company’s program procedures to ensure Compliance requirements from Bank/Issuer, Processor & Association Network for regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Account management of client relationships within BIN Sponsorship program
  • Assist in review of Third-party processing relationships, including management of due diligence activities.
  • Manage risk related to supporting the Issuer/Network relationship
  • Ensure program and all associated paperwork received/submitted is compliant with Issuer/Bank requirements
  • Developing and/or modifying company forms and contracts used in business operations to maintain compliance rules and regulations
  • Prepare, validate and disseminate program reporting with the various partners/internal stakeholders to ensure reports are accurate, timely and thorough.
  • Protect the company by reviewing program data, watching for and reporting fraud and unusual situations, ensuring transactions are properly authorized and in compliance with all rules and regulations.
  • Ensure Card program complies with all related Federal, State and Industry laws and regulations pertaining to Banking and to card network association requirements.
  • Filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
  • Review internal controls and make recommendations to the Program executives at the Verizon for appropriate changes in policy and/or procedures

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or related field or four or more years of experience
  • Previous card (credit/debit) program or card network association experience
  • Familiarity of program management for a Digital banking/pre-paid card program

Ideally you will also have:

  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in bank or card operations and procedures, analytics and risk management gained through formal education or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of program/project management experience driving development efforts for high transaction volume based services in risk, regulatory compliance, finance, banking, or a related field
  • Experience managing critical external partner relationships
  • Basic SQL knowledge and a willingness/desire to enhance this skill set
  • Solid understanding of agile release processes is a plus
  • Proficiency with process management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal; confidence in facilitating cross-functional team meetings to achieve results.
  • Compliance-related professional certification, such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, Certified Financial Services Auditor, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist is a plus
  • College degree in Business or related field (Finance/Accounting)
