What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is hiring a talented Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst to support the Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) program across Verizon Business Group (VBG). As a member of the RM&C team, you will be assigned to the Compliance Regulatory team and will work in partnership with VBG, Verizon Consumer Group (VCG), Legal, Information Security, Marketing, National Operations and other key players to ensure compliance with various Federal and State regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have experience across multiple Verizon Business Group regulatory compliance domains with experience in audit process/procedure, risk analysis and mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives.

This team focuses on validating that processes are working end-to-end, identifying risk areas and risk treatment/mitigation, as well as participating in projects to understand and determine potential impact to regulatory compliance components. They identify areas of improvement and non-compliance which may result in process changes and/or coaching requests. Some of the other responsibilities are to:

  • Validate system requirements, flows, edits and written procedures through testing and observations that Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) and regulatory compliance operating procedures and controls are working as they should.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to support various regulatory compliance subject matters making sure that user stories continue to support systematic processes in place the drive positive compliant behaviors or that proposed new system changes fully meet Regulatory, Security and Legal requirements.
  • Complete analysis based on the testing results through observations and reports to identify system and process gaps reducing risk for VBG. Document all work and findings resulting from testing and communicate to relevant stakeholders within defined standard processes.
  • Stay abreast of existing and upcoming regulatory legislation in order to assess potential impact on the VBG compliance programs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with cross-functional risk, compliance and/or information security disciplines.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management or relevant degree.
  • Six or more years of experience in cross-functional risk, compliance and/or information security disciplines.
  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of CPNI with regulatory compliance requirements, including FCC requirements and/or CPNI regulations, data privacy, customer authentication, marketing opt-out, etc.
  • Experience working in VBG with a knowledge of Verizon systems and products and a background in at least one of the following - VES, SLED, VPP, BGCO, BOS, VPS or RBCC.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape pertinent to a regulated telecommunications company.
  • Experience in identifying quantitative risk-based issues and working across organizations to remediate.
  • Analytical skills with ability to use sound business judgment and to exercise skepticism as needed.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, G-suite, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team and cross-organizationally to analyze and communicate opportunities for strategic compliance improvements.
  • Critical thinking, productivity and attention to detail.
  • Strong listening and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project management, along with organizational and planning skills.
  • Process focused experience including the ability to assess, interpret, and guide corporate processes.
