What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is undergoing a transformation from a telecommunications company to a technology company, and we are in search of the next generation of Product Managers to help us drive forward. With the opportunity to influence the lives of 100M+ consumers, it is an exciting time to be at Verizon and help launch innovative products.

  • Building internal products for the payments risk and fraud teams.
  • Defining product requirements and roadmap to manage risk and fraud in the digital payments space (Credit Card, ACH, and Internet Banking).
  • Leveraging Business Intelligence tools for providing support with data analytics, data mining, ad-hoc investigations, reporting, and data quality assessments.
  • Reviewing, investigating, and responding to customer and product stakeholder inquiries related to claims of fraud such as identity theft and payments/card fraud.
  • Researching suspect account activity and do outreach to customers and business partners to validate suspicious activity and prevent losses.
  • Preparing reports and enter cases/incidents into the case management system.
  • Drafting comprehensive SAR narratives in line with FINCEN guidelines.
  • Working closely with internal and external partners to monitor and manage fraud incidents.
  • Using internal data, publicly available information, along with various internal system resources to make risk-based decisions on the disposition of referrals related to fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Three or more years of experience developing products and features, with a focus on risk and fraud in digital payments.
  • Three or more years of experience in analyzing fraud trends, fraud detection and prevention.
  • Understanding of mobile SDK’s and web API’s.
  • Experience in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, motivating, and problem-solving skills.
