Responsibilities

Responsible for project management and requirements for Mobile Self-Serve applications including My Verizon Mobile, SMART Retail App, Self-Serve Framework and Self Provisioning Gateway. Responsibilities include LOEs, Project Alignment/Schedules, Approach Documents, Rapid Protyping, User Story Grooming, Internal/External document reviews and project meetings, Devel./SIT/UAT support. Drive requirement discussions with various IT Teams and Business / Product Managers / OEMs to understand business objective and strategies.

Business Analyst / Project Management

  • Analyze system business requirement documents. Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to define system requirements, which include requirements around the user interface and customer experience.
  • Groom and document User stories, Author Approach/Requirement Documents, which includes details on the customer experience (flows/customer actions), page layout (look/feel), interface details (APIs/Data).
  • Ownership of projects assigned which requires creating/managing multiple project deliverables, such as LOEs, Schedules, Project Status, Issue Resolution, Tracking Milestone Dates/Deliveries, Updating Clarity (project tracking tool).
  • Communication of Approach / Requirement Documentation with the project team, including internal Devel and QA teams, external Business Sponsors, Project Stakeholders, IT Teams to review / ensure the business requirements are met and can be achieved.
  • Attend Design and Test Plan/Case documentation reviews. Provide feedback on design to ensure no requirement gaps and provide issue resolution. Provide feedback to test strategy to ensure all scenarios / edge cases are accounted for with correct expected results.

Business Communications, Relationships, Strategy

  • Communication with Internal and External IT Teams, CAMs, Business Partners and OEMs to understand/clarify business requirements, provide input to customer experience, understand API details/data, address questions/issues found during project life cycle, report project status.
  • Regularly leads small to medium to large size projects and provides guidance to project team members.
  • Troubleshoots complex development and production application issues and provides technical and production support on an on-call basis.
  • Able to work with internal and external IT teams to ensure applications are able to support functionality requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • Four or more years of experience interfacing with Business teams for requirements gathering.
  • Two or more years of experience working on mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of CA Claity tool.
  • Advanced knowledge of all MS Office productivity tools.
  • Experience with collaborative software like SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal guidance. Thorough analysis with each project assigned is required and will need to partner with business sponsors to validate requirements and to ensure they are accurate and complete. Need to work with internal team members (Devel, QA) regularly, ensuring they understand the requirements and they are aware of any recent changes. Must understand processes in place that ensure projects are aligned and schedules communicated.
  • Experience working with the Business/Stakeholders to understand requirements and impacts to mobile applications on projects assigned.
  • Proven ability to take on complex projects and work through solutions with Devel and Architecture teams that meet business objectives.
  • Experienced working on business requirements for mobile applications.
  • Experienced working in Agile Project Management and DevOps Methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype and demo feature enhancements
  • Proven ability to manage aggressive project schedules, and guide Devel and QA teams to stay on target with changes/testing so that milestone dates are met.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues with team members, working towards quick resolution to keep projects on track.
  • Provide solutions to complex projects by researching and evaluating various systems to develop detailed understanding of options available to meet business needs.
  • Proven ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions.
  • Works under minimal direction of senior staff and management. Assumes responsibility on applications supported.
  • Multi-task oriented individual with strong organizational, time management, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the Clarity enterprise tool will be helpful as this is used for tracking all Business projects as well as internal projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to operate independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with mobile devices and multiple operating systems currently in the marketplace.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Problem solving skills to develop quick, sound solutions to resolve complex issues.
  • Advanced ability to analyze business requirements quickly to determine and assess technical feasibility within mobile applications.
  • Exposure to multiple IT lifecycle methodologies preferred - Waterfall, Agile, etc.
  • Experience with all aspects of project management - concept to post-implementation phases.
