Responsibilities

Perform Accounts Payable and Administrative duties supporting the Manager – Business Operations and provide operational support to all Aviation Department Managers. Flexibility and meticulous attention to detail are a necessity in an Aviation oriented environment. Duties include but not limited to the following:

  • Work within Verizon Aviation department to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support and deliver great customer service and experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality related to Verizon employees, aircraft schedules, locations and history.
  • Process Accounts Payable for aviation vendors including reconciliation of administrative, aircraft and maintenance expenses.
  • Use Accounts Payable system to establish vendors, initiate Purchase Orders, verify invoices/receipts and accurately code invoices with established Financial accounts.
  • Summarizing and balancing billing records for various vendor accounts and maintaining vendor database.
  • Maintain office records and accounts payable files in orderly fashion.
  • Preparing reports with emphasis on accuracy; analyzing and summarizing data using sound judgment.
  • Communicating with customers, vendors or employees in other departments to accomplish job tasks.
  • Compose correspondence and filter mail as well as answer and screen telephone calls to determine resolution or routing.
  • Processing work to meet deadlines.
  • Team player who may provide additional support to other department Managers on occasion.
  • May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by management.
  • Works independently with minimum supervision.

Qualifications

3-5 yrs. administrative experience2 yr. degree preferred

Corporate Aviation background preferredProject management experienceExperience supporting multiple people and prioritiesStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.)Strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational skillsDemonstrated organizational skillsAbility to work well independently and under pressure
