What you’ll be doing...

As Sr. Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of highly trained cybersecurity and analytics personnel who support all department data analysis, forensics analysis, compliance analysis, and security threat analysis using industry, department, and Verizon standard tools and techniques. In this role the Sr. Manager will be responsible for reviewing all department analytical white papers, assisting in the development and final review of analytical requirements documents, and working with Verizon legal compliance personnel. Additionally you will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring business acquisition related documents adhere to all Verizon and department compliance standards.

  • Provide guidance to the team in completing their objectives including developing training materials, answering technical requests, and evaluating requirements.
  • Brief Verizon executives on security analysis, findings, and recommendations.
  • Provide guidance to the team and / or technical direction on analysis requests, white paper development, forensic requests, analytics system requirements development, and security signature development.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem solving ability, extracting security related information of interest utilizing highly complex big data sets.

In this worksite-based role, you'll work onsite at a defined location, Ashburn, VA.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Cybersecurity experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation as a condition of employment.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in telecommunications and analytics.
  • Management experience in telecommunications.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience using Verizon internal engineering and provisioning systems.
  • Management experience in cybersecurity.
  • Experience directly supporting customers.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in legal compliance oversight.
