What you’ll be doing...

Working out of our Christchurch office, you will be a part of the cross-functional engineering team delivering features and improvements for our Workforce Product Suite - a set of products for planning, dispatching, and reporting on work schedules for drivers. You will be a key person on our Dispatch and Scenarios products which interface with our world class optimization and routing algorithms, and provide work schedules for tens of thousands of drivers around the globe every day.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to make and contribute to the future of amazing applications that are an integral part of many companies' processes.

  • Test and release the advanced applications in the Workforce Product Suite
  • Advocate for QA. Define and maintain quality standards within your team
  • Setup, monitor, and maintain the test automation infrastructure and test suites
  • Write and review automation tests
  • Be responsive to customer bugs. Triage and prioritise the bug backlog with your team
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, particularly in regards to QA
  • Work with product and engineering team members to define and manage feature roadmaps, and advocate for improvements

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.


What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in QA, test automation, and software development
  • Experience managing defect backlogs and requirements management with tools such as JIRA

Even better if you have:

  • SQL experience for data set up and verification.
  • Experience with test case management tools such as Test Rail, developing test automation framework andtesting Microservices and SAAS.
  • Ability to learn and test complex systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of testing fundamentals and best practices - development of test cases, edge case and boundary testing, smoke tests, regression tests and defining/testing non-functional application requirements
  • Strong ability to write unit and integration tests in C# and TypeScript
  • Ability to coach, mentor and influence colleagues through testing strategies and implementations
  • Ability to read and understand production code to aid in the test generation process.
  • Able to work autonomously within an Agile environment
  • Experience working in larger project and team environments with product, application support and operations teams
  • Experience with Browserstack
  • Performance testing experience (JUnit, Loadrunner, or other tools)
