What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Business Group is looking for Senior Manager of Intelligent Networking within Professional Services that will be responsible for building, leading, and managing a team of consultants, architects, and engineers with focus on networking and wireless technologies including MEC, 5G, local area networking, wireless LAN, network virtualization, and software defined networking. This individual will be responsible for strategy, delivery, and overall P/L accountability for this capability, with a complex eco-system of Verizon stakeholders, third party vendors and revenue streams. They must also be capable of recruiting, leading, inspiring and mentoring high-performing talent.

The Senior Manager will lead cross-functional teams to spur innovation and drive business growth, key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain an expertise in current 5G, MEC, LAN/WAN & SDWAN technologies, industry trends, and market demands, including being a thought leader who can clearly articulate the value proposition of the technologies.
  • Act as a Business Partner for our internal Verizon Stakeholders including Sales, Solution Architects, Scoping and Quoting resources, and Executives to craft solutions and scopes of work to solve complex customer challenges.
  • Be a Team Leader who will develop clear goals for the team, ensure industry best practices are utilized, and align the business unit behind them to drive operational and financial results.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining a team organization that ensures the practice has the skills and capacity to deliver projects, including allocating skilled resources to projects and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Ideating, creating, and launching new services that take advantage of Verizon’s strategic investments and technology advancements.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience in global enterprise network engineering and consulting
  • Experience with 5G, MEC, LAN/WAN & SDWAN technologies.
  • Experience in the architecture, design, and development of end to end Networking Solutions for large enterprise customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even Better if you have:

  • Certification including a CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, Juniper or F5 firewall or equivalent.
  • MS with a STEM focus.
  • Experience with the deployment of large multi-site complex network solutions including Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Versa, and Aruba.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a design-related discussion using leading questions to fully vet a customer’s requirements and develop a solution utilizing industry leading technologies to meet the requirements.
  • Strong background in solution selling and solution design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with C-level gravitas including an ability to listen to, and guide customers.
  • Experience leading large, high performing, technical teams.
  • Demonstrated history of subject matter expertise including presenting industry trends, developing white papers, and designing industry best practices.
  • Proven leadership experience and relationship management within a large, complex, multi-national organization.
