What you’ll be doing...

This role is responsible for improving network performance by completing RF designs for the regional
network with emphasis on traffic analysis, analyzing network performance, modifying existing sites, and
antenna/RF path theory. Design responsibilities for 4G and 5G Macro/Small Cells.
Working with the performance team to understand the market, identifying any issues within the
cluster, researching previous projects and in-flight projects, and creating short-term and long-term
designs to meet our design criteria.
Analyzing network metrics.
Analyzing drive tests to evaluate search area candidate as necessary.
Presenting engineering analysis in a group setting.
Preparing FCC/FAA submissions in a timely manner.
Performing design evaluations for planning.
Evaluating coverage/capacity issues.
Working closely with the centralized team on budget submission and classification.
Monitoring current RF system efficiency metrics and assist with recommendations on improvement
to meet capital and corporate objectives.
Supporting the RF team in keeping the most accurate data in planning tool according to RFDS and
SPM.
Running projections to identify best solutions for mitigating capacity triggering sectors.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in RF propagation tools (Atoll) and data analysis.
  • RF design experience in LTE and NR networks.
  • Knowledge of RF fundamentals and RF engineering tools.
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 25% or less.
  • A valid Driver's license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

A bachelor or higher degree.
Advanced skills in Atoll operation and prediction models.
Experience in analyzing network performance/metrics and selecting antenna/radio solutions for
capacity and/or coverage requirements.
Experience in pulling data from multiple sources and condensing into one format, analyzing and
processing the data, and generating evaluation/solution reports.
Ability to develop new solutions to complex problems; analysis of situations or data requires
advanced skills within our discipline, an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and the frequent use
of creativity.
Ability to present engineering analysis to internal and external teams.
Ericsson LTE and NR network experience.
