What you’ll be doing...

As an Engineer consultant (Software Development) you will be developing and maintain customer contact center web application at Verizon. This application has the capability to help front line agents to manage customer accounts and support all customer requirements by providing personalized and institutive experience by leveraging customer journeys and insights. This application will typically get implemented on premise as well in cloud depending upon the transactions.

  • Leading projects, code, and developing the business requirements and integrate with interfacing systems as per defined architecture.
  • Owning projects E2E in contact center web applications and perform engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development in React JS/Ext JS, JQuery and Spring Reactive/Spring Boot.
  • Fixing the production bugs, building tools to reduce manual efforts using on-site and off-shore resources to maintain and develop applications for both enterprise releases and smaller maintenance releases.
  • Working closely with the business team and other internal IT teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Delivering code with quality as per coding standards, unit testing tools, security reviews and fixing the vulnerabilities and application performance fine tuning.
  • Working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment to analyze and creatively solve complex problems.

You thrive in a dynamic environment and are able to interact with various stakeholders and cross functional teams to implement business solutions. You will be encouraged to come-up with ideas to transform the way we work to improve the experience both agents and customers.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with all phases of end-to-end project life cycle (e.g., development, unit testing, bug fixing).
  • Four or more years of experience in core Java Technologies, React JS/ Ext JS/JQuery and spring boot micro services, Spring React, and Rest APIs.
  • Experience in SQL and PL/SQL in Oracle.
  • Experience in developing production metrics, effective tools for application performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of logging and monitoring technologies (e.g., ELK, Redshift, Grafana, sitecatalyst).
  • Experience in developing production metrics and effective tools for application performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of working in AWS/EKs and K8 platforms.
  • Experience with JUnit/TestNG, Maven, Oracle, and UNIX.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge in caching technologies like Redis.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving, analytical, and research capabilities.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively independently and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
