What you’ll be doing...

The RF Engineer contributes to the RF Design of the regional wireless network including:

  • Search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
  • Redesigning mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of network to ensure performance fixes/initiatives are in place.
  • Candidate should have very good understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
  • Partnering with System Performance to improve various Network KPIs.
  • Using internal tools (Siterra) to process regulatory compliance.
  • Performing Macro/Small Cell Design/In Building design including antenna selection and placement, utilizing knowledge of 5G (NW, C-band and mmW), LTE, and microwave to contribute in network. design are key responsibilities.
  • Supports the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Works on new cell sites, making sure site is properly integrated into network and optimized for peak performance.
  • Proactively looks for areas to improve overall network performance. Find and resolve system issues on the network by utilizing traditional and non-traditional means.
  • Interacts with cross functional teams to deploy and optimize components for best efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide presentations to other groups as required.
  • Takes ownership of issues and drives them to resolution.
  • Is self-motivated and efficient with minimal supervision.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • A valid driver's license.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science - Master degree a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization
  • Good knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as 5G (NW, C-band and mmW), LTE/VoLTE Technology
  • Demonstrated very strong experience in Design & Optimization of LTE/VoLTE networks
  • Good knowledge of propagation modeling software such as Planet EV, Atoll etc. – Expert level experience in Atoll
  • Model Tuning
  • Proficient in office computer applications: Various RF tools such as Mapinfo, post processing software etc., MS office.
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting, VB Scripting, other professional software is plus
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation. Presentation skill and Power Point
  • Excellent analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Flexible to attempt alternate solutions to resolve issues and seamlessly adjust to a dynamic, changing business environment
  • Superior organizational time management, prioritization and project planning skills
