What you’ll be doing...

Verizon has a culture built on innovation and developing new ways to do business. As a member of the Network Performance team, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of the future transformation of our network and have a lasting impact on our business. The Network Performance team is a cross-functional team where you will use your expertise to creatively resolve issues in the network. This position will be primarily responsible for the following activities:

  • Daily monitoring of performance KPIs at a cell site level.
  • Identifying issues that need to be addressed based on KPI thresholds or deviation from baseline performance.
  • Running standardized diagnostics and reports from networking tools used to baseline network element performance.
  • Performing network triage and resets to network elements to resolve issues remotely.
  • Opening tickets to track issues that are not already being addressed by the NMC (NOC).
  • Providing reports on network ticket status and driving resolution to aging tickets by working closely with peer groups.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of LTE data cells infrastructure with Ericsson, Nokia, and/or Samsung knowledge.
  • Experience troubleshooting using technical documentations and vendor support centers.
  • Experience in remote network equipment triage and troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in network KPI analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Windows hardware, network configurations, and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of system performance analysis and tools.
  • Strong behavioral competencies (e.g., planning, organizing, written/oral communication, adaptability, analytical reasoning, teamwork, detail orientation).
  • Capable of working with diverse staff with varying levels of experience.
  • Technical aptitude for assimilating technical concepts and new technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to listen and comprehend effectively.
  • Knowledge of antenna system RF concepts.
  • Knowledge of 5G NR infrastructure with Ericsson and/or Samsung.

If you are hired into a New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $69,000 and $128,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
