What you’ll be doing...

Are you ready for the challenge of driving transformation at the scale of a $130B+ Fortune 50 company through an industry-leading technology stack? In this role, you will be responsible for Technical Product Management for Verizon’s Enterprise Planning Platform in Oracle EPM Cloud. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, and Network to create consolidated and integrated financial and operational plans to improve forecast accuracy by leveraging driver, trend, and predictive planning methodologies. Your work will focus on shaping business processes, product vision & strategy, roadmap, and backlogs around key mission objectives delivering features from concept to launch through agile delivery methodologies, ensuring value realization, run governance, and support that delivers outstanding business results/user experience. Funded for significant annual investment to drive transformation at scale, this role requires experience in delivering extremely large and complex process transformation/system implementations including process design, functional design, technical / solution architecture, human-centered design, environment & deployment strategies, operational readiness, and change management across multiple functions spanning the SDLC lifecycle. The ideal candidate for this role will be equal parts business & technical leader to be successful, with the ability to set rigorous technical/architectural standards whilst speaking the language of our business partners to influence the strategic direction for financial planning and forecasting capabilities. Focusing on driving the innovation agenda, this leader will work with internal & external industry leaders to shape world-class capabilities and enable continuous improvement. As a people leader, this leader will drive a large team of Verizon Technical Product Owners and 3rdparty partners, as well as influence Global Process Owners, to deliver transformative solutions. This leader will make decisions regarding hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions. Coaches, trains and motivates the team to achieve subject matter expertise. Accountable end to end from vision/strategy through to delivery, value realization, and run support/governance – this leader will focus on the big picture and have the discipline to drive massive transformational efforts.   • Owning agile delivery, product roadmap, and backlog execution processes for Financial Planning and Forecasting.
  • Developing, own, and execute the product roadmap, and end-to-end data strategy / vision, including governance and continuous improvement.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
  • Prioritizing and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of the business.
  • Leading the product functional design process.
  • Identifying and drive strategy for implementation of new systems and applications.
  • Driving strategy for upgrades and enhancements to existing Oracle EPM Cloud applications and manages future software direction and enhancements.
  • Coordinating support for systems initiatives driven by other groups if there are impacts on financial systems.
  • Managing large teams of consultants and employees, including directing cross-functional teams.
  • Leading selection process for external project support and sets the direction for provider.
  • Developing / assisting with project plans, including estimates, work breakdown structure, and schedules.
  • Identifying key project milestones.
  • Coordinating and directs project team resources.
  • Ensuring all deliverables are achieved.
  • Identifying and resolves project constraints, issues, and risks.
  • Developing the project organization structure and resource requirements, adjusts them as needed as the project progresses, and collaborates with team leads to make staffing decisions.
  • Monitoring adherence to scope and manages the scope change process.
  • Analyzing and implements corrective actions when progress deviates from the plan.
  • Monitoring the quality assurance, deliverable acceptance, and sign–off processes.
  • Monitoring and mitigates project risk.
  • Maintaining continuous communications with the program management office.
  • Motivating and manages project team using effective communication and leadership.
  • Identifying and organizes required external support (Verizon & Third Party).
  • Understanding / Defining Business Processes and integrated handoffs/dependencies.
  • Effectively partnering with the business and IT for successful implementations.
  • Overseeing Organizational Change Management.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in building and maintaining relevant systems (Hyperion Planning, Oracle EPBCS, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting, FDMEE/Data Management, Essbase, EPM Automate).
  • Experience in taking a company forward in a fast-growth environment, providing insight for direction, and managing change effectively.
  • Proven success managing financial planning and forecasting applications.
  • Proven success managing large, dynamic teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the successful delivery of scaled agile.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic approach to business, processes, and user needs.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to recognize the impact of decisions on end users.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with team members and external customers.
  • Strong presentation skills to all levels of management; ability to communicate complex concepts in a manner that is understood by the audience.
  • Ability to prioritize efforts and tasks in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
