What you’ll be doing...

In this role you will be working as an Application Support Engineer supporting Verizon internally. A combination of technical support and excellent customer service is crucial for this position. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing end-user support to Internal Verizon employees on internally developed information risk applications.
  • Troubleshooting application issues and data inconsistencies
  • Partnering with the development team to complete project-based work.
  • Collaborating with peers on best practices with respect to troubleshooting.
  • Project management, bug fix tracking, and documentation.
  • Creation of knowledge articles or updating existing knowledge articles, promoting self-serve help.
  • Communicating technical information and business functionality to non-technical audiences.

Where you’ll be working...

In this remote role, you'll work from home with occasional in-person trainings and meetings.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of work experience.
  • Experience or training with SQL.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with browser-based applications.
  • Experience or Knowledge with C#, MS SQL, Python, PHP, and HTML technologies
  • Experience or Knowledge with Information Security, Information Risk Management, and Cyber Security
  • Ability to be professional and courteous.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work well in a team-based environment.
