What you’ll be doing...

As a Functional Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing the requirements, assessing test coverage required, defining and executing test scenarios in a timely manner, developing and executing functional test cases. You will use PLM tools to provide mapping to user stories as well as provide test status. This role is expected to be the seed member of the team responsible for QA Automation & System integration testing.

  • Understanding, implementing, and updating the Agile Test Strategy.
  • Working with Product Owners to define Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done.
  • Measuring and reporting test coverage across all applicable coverage dimensions.
  • Configuring, using, and managing test environments and test data.
  • Writing and executing automated checks and reporting back to the team.
  • Reporting defects and working with the team to resolve them.
  • Ensuring the appropriate testing tasks are scheduled during release and iteration planning.
  • Collaborating with developers and business partners to clarify requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness.
  • Implementing Continuous integration and Continuous Deployment automation through AWS/OCI environment using appropriate tools.
  • Leading activities for developing Automation and implementing necessary automation tools through the development process.
  • Translating Dev architecture/designs and proof of concept into high quality QA automation process and cohesive QA certification delivery across the wireless interfacing systems.
  • Performing hands-on coding work on QA pertain to systems and integral part of the systems to introduce new modular, reusable automation specifics.
  • Identifying and aligning the QA process to convert that as workable QA automation solution.
  • Working through a set of contractors and coexisting systems for QA automation configuration, build, produce results by building UI dashboard.

What we’re looking for...

We are looking for a QA Automation hands on experienced person who also has Java/J2EE scripting knowledge or other equal technology experienced candidate for Verizon business group wireless projects.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Selenium Protractor & Robot framework automation.
  • Experience in working on Large Scale Enterprise Applications automation framework using Selenium ROBO, API automation & integration etc. Experience working on Large Scale Enterprise Applications automation framework using Selenium ROBOT, API automation & integration etc..
  • Experience in leading QA process improvement and converting the process in the form of Automation to produce results.
  • Experience in QA automation tools and technologies such as Selenium Protractor, BDD and ROBOT framework. MonteBank or any equivalent Service Virtualization tool or experience in creating own tools,framework etc.
  • Knowledge of Selenium, Service Virtualization and integration, API services automation and integration.
  • Experience in JavaScript, JavaScript object model will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline, SDLC practices and methodologies – Agile, Safe Agile, nested SQL queries.
  • Experience in Security tools automation, functional testing, telecom domain knowledge.
  • Experience in various automation testing tools and executing test scenarios using those tools.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in working in Agile/SAFe teams.
  • Experience in testing principles, applying different testing techniques to deliver a high-quality product.
  • Ability to adopt an automation first approach and execute the automation test strategies.
  • Collaboration skills to manage the peers, partners and other stakeholders.
