What you’ll be doing...

This entry level role, which is part of the Verizon Campus Program, will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm and learn the practical application of your degree concepts. You will be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive. You will put your degree to use and gain experience in a new field through on the job training.

As part of a dynamic and challenging Finance organization, you will help some of the world’s biggest enterprises do business smarter. Joining a team that collaborates and provides solutions – you'll be doing more than just working the numbers. You will be given responsibilities for key components of Bill to Cash and support the development of solutions, which will allow you to enhance and apply your skills while gaining experience and developing subject matter expertise in a variety of topics. When you work for Verizon in Global Process Digital Solutions, we aim to use the latest digital finance tools to help us make decisions that drive the future of Bill to Cash.

In this role, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze trends and data from across all Bill to Cash functions (Collections, Fraud, Recovery, Credit) to identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Provide insight on strategic recommendations for complex processes or issues that contribute to improving operational metrics.
  • Partner with internal and external partners to develop requirements for new processes and initiatives.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing activities associated with new or modified systems.
  • Field issues from internal and external customers or delivery partners and providing feedback/coaching as needed.
  • Utilize various digital finance tools and principals (ex. AI/ML and other data modeling practices, Data Visualization with Qlik/Tableau, SQL Server, etc.) to support the development of solutions that drive Bill to Cash forward.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and in good academic standing to be considered.

You’ll need to have:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Business IT, Statistics, Computer Science, Math or related major at an accredited college or university with an expected completion date by June 2023.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work in Lake Mary, FL.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Analytical/Solutions focused mindset.
  • Passion for technology and willingness to learn about our digital finance tools.
  • Experience working in Bill to Cash (B2C).
  • Experience creating complex queries and reporting tools.
  • Experience with digital finance (specifically advanced analytics) tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Python, R.
  • Experience of electronic customer self-serve applications.
