This entry level role, which is part of the Verizon Campus Program, will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm and learn the practical application of your degree concepts. You will be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive. You will put your degree to use and gain experience in a new field through on the job training.

As part of a dynamic and challenging Finance organization, you will help some of the world’s biggest enterprises do business smarter. Joining a team that collaborates and provides solutions – you'll be doing more than just working the numbers. You will be given responsibilities for key components of the financial statement close process, which will allow you to enhance and apply your skills while gaining experience and developing subject matter expertise in a variety of topics. In this role, you may have the opportunity to:

• Support and complete invoice processing vendor and internal requests in accordance with audit requirements and company policies. This includes gathering invoice information, analyzing data results and responding to the data requests .
• Investigate, resolve or escalate complex invoice issues that come through the Accounts Payable.
• Assist with invoice processing troubleshooting and testing based on system enhancements or fixes.
• Recommend automations which includes evaluating and documenting updates to invoice processing procedures.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

You’ll need to have:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program at Prairie View A&M in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Business IT, Statistics, Math or related major at an accredited college or university with an expected completion date between December 2022 and June 2023.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willingness to work in Tulsa, OK.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Demonstrated independent thinking, relationship management and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting fundamentals and experience using Microsoft or Google Suite.
• Experience in Accounts Payable and SAP ERP System.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
• Experience with SAP or Peoplesoft.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the following: data querying and analytics, record reconciliation, SQL.
