What you’ll be doing...
This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.
The Global Supply Chain Supply Planning Consultant will be responsible for day to day operational results, and overall analytics for the Planning team. Specific functions include supply planning, CPFR processes, review & interpret forecasts, creation of purchase orders, vendor management and collaboration with internal partners like Device Marketing, Marketing inventory leads and cross functional teams. You will need to interpret upcoming marketing shifts and anticipate their impacts. The ability to interpret data, make decisions and implement change will be essential.
You will be asked to identify areas of opportunity, as well as create and implement solutions that drive benefits to Verizon. You should be able to demonstrate successes driving cross-functional process improvement. You will be the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while leading the day to day operations.
Managing the lifecycle curves including sales, revenue, return rate and margin to determine if we are carrying the right products for our customers.
Validating SKU optimization and inventory optimization analytics for strategic long term planning.
Taking Action on SKU optimization analytics to determine store stocking strategy.
Creating and managing the monthly inventory overstock and obsolescence reporting for inventory accounting.
Managing Demand Planning/forecasting with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Managing a subset of suppliers to ensure they are meeting & executing to the short and long term plans
Adjusting the demand plan which includes, Store Stocking Strategy, forecast adjustments and unit allocation by channel to maximize sales.
Pushing out and pulling in inventory from the supplier due to market conditions, promotions or any other factors that would influence the demand plan.
Collaborate with product managers on strategic planning for life cycle management
Managing OEM vendors to contractual obligations regarding PO fulfillment, on time delivery, reporting and discrepancy resolution and safety stock requirements.
collaborating with product managers, forecasting team, channel allocations, and warehouse operations to meet launch deadlines and volumes within a very tight timeline. This includes frequent follow up and touch points to ensure the plan is on track for execution.
Communicating Launch readiness supply plan to Sr. Leadership team.
Communicating Supply Health and actions plans to alleviate at risk items during S&OP processes.
Planning IBP system and master data maintenance.
Utilizing supply chain planning system (IBP) to run weekly buy plans to be shared with OEM partners.
Performing weekly inventory valuation and projection utilizing system tools and templates.
Maintaining SKU setup info and system settings in master data.
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Supply Chain.
Willingness to travel up approximately to 25% of the time
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Supply Planning Experience.
Experience in Vendor Management.
Experience with SAP IBP & Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in Collaborative Planning Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory improvement initiatives with a focus in Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, CPFR processes, and S&OP processes.
Ability to be a strong problem solver with ability to resolve conflicts, assertive, good in both written and oral communications with ability to create and deliver executive presentations.
Ability to apply advanced analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, data mining and statistics to design, implement, validate and refine mathematical models and algorithms to understand and optimize supply chain.
