What you’ll be doing...

The Digital Finance Automation Payroll Consultant will support, identify, and drive Digital Finance Automation by leading the process improvement activities, initiatives, and chartered projects to support systems enhancements and automation solutions.

  • Improving the efficiency of Payroll systems and processes by developing and/or maintaining automation procedures using various tools (e.g. SQL, VBA, RPA, BI tools etc.).
  • Developing and delivering data-driven solutions to support business needs and analytics.
  • Providing recommendations and solutions for improving data accessibility as driven by the business need for knowledge and decision.
  • Integrating technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for Verizon.
  • Demonstrating understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable continuous process improvement.
  • Analyzing architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs, identifying potential performance constraints with inter-system designs, and evaluate solution’s alignment with the end user experience.
  • Investigating new technologies, objectively evaluating technologies, constructing presentations, presenting to senior management.
  • Developing systems & applications that deliver business functions to create more self-service opportunities for their GPSO customers.
  • Interacting with Individual Contributors, Supervisors, and Managers within the organization to report progress initiatives and plan goals for development and process improvement.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in process analysis, automation, organizational development, and process design.
  • Experience in any query tool proficiency, including significant experience creating and manipulating code (e.g., SQL or PostgreSQL or VBA).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree with a concentration in MIS, IT, Finance, Computer Programming, Computer Science, or scientific or technical discipline.
  • Experience in project management, delivering meaningful results to the organization.
  • Experience in any workflow support including script customization written in Groovy or Java.
  • Experience in Google suite of products, specifically customization writing Google Apps Script and passing data between Google apps.
  • Experience in UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Talend.
  • Experience in leading technical enterprise scale projects and managing competing priorities.
  • Collaborative working style and ability to work with vendors, internal teams, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn or adapt or implement newer technologies.
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft or Workday HCM.
