What you’ll be doing...

As a developer for the Consumer Front Line Experience team, you will be responsible for developing new applications and enhancements for existing apps used by both Verizon employees and customers. You will be able to apply your technical expertise to build innovative solutions giving customers a new and innovative retail experience.

  • Delivering new functionality to existing applications.
  • Ensuring delivered solutions meet business needs and follow best practices.
  • Completing testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Providing support for developed applications.
  • Working inan Agile environment leveraging DevOps principles.

Where you'll be working...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Experience in application development using JAVA, Spring Boot,REST APIs, IDEs, Oracle/ElasticSearch/ Spring Reactive.
  • Experience in UI development using React JS or comparable frameworks along with HTML and CS.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience in application development using Postgres.
  • Experience in DevOps, Agile, Scrum and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience in DevOps Tools - GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, Test Driven development - JUnit, SonarCube.
  • Experience in designing and building large enterprise scale software solutions.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in enterprise-class software development and agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of AWS and cloud platforms.
  • Experience in Microservices, Netflix OSS Stack, MQ, Public Cloud/AWS.
  • Experience in automation tools, continuous integration and delivery tools.
  • Experience in working and coordinating across geographically diverse software development teams.
  • Strong communication skills including technical writing and presentation.
